Re-entry Job Readiness

Helping ex-offenders in Southern Nevada transition back into the workforce.

In collaboration with the Nevada Department of Employment Training and Rehabilitation, Department of Corrections, and Department of Public Safety Division of Parole and Probation, and working under the guidelines of the Federal Workforce Investment Act, the Workforce Connections prisoner re-entry program helps ex-offenders make a successful transition back into our community. The only program of its kind in Nevada, the Workforce Connections re-entry program recognizes the unique challenges ex-offenders face in today’s job market.

By teaching the behaviors, building the confidence, and providing the resources needed to take on a productive role in society, this program aims to improve the lives of individuals, their families, and the community at large.

The new Re-entry Program Office is now open

We are proud to announce that the Workforce Connections Re-entry Program Office is now open in Las Vegas.

Program participants will receive case management in an effort to help them address needs such as housing, employment, health care, and substance abuse treatment. The program offers mentoring to guide participants through any challenges that they face in transitioning back into the community. Included is a staff of Job Developers tasked with recruiting employers open to giving clients a chance in the workforce.

Our overall programmatic goal is to reduce recidivism by giving participants the support needed to face challenges without returning to old patterns of behavior. This provides for a safer community, healthier families and a stronger workforce.
