A group of Henderson Chamber of Commerce members discussed their difficulties finding skilled workers and accessing financing with state and local economic development officials at a Dec. 6 business roundtable sponsored by Workforce Connections.
The panel of officials included Terry Johnson, director of the state Department of Business and Industry; Terri Janison, regional director for the Governor’s Office of Economic Development; and Bob Cooper, economic development manager for the City of Henderson.
The agencies were looking for feedback from business owners about how the state can better recruit new businesses and help existing businesses during the recession.
“We want to hear from you, what’s keeping you from growing or expanding,” Janison told the group of business owners. Read more
